About Susan —
Years ago, I worked as a crisis intervention counselor at a community agency. Sometimes, I would use picture cards to solicit responses from overwhelmed and reticent clients. This is where I first learned the power of images when language fails us. It was a natural leap for me to study tarot and become a tarot counselor.
I have been studying tarot since 2002 and regularly attend and have presented at the Bay Area Tarot Symposium. I am also a member of the American Tarot Association and have been a volunteer reader for their free readings sites: The Free Tarot Network, and The Free Reading Network.
Over the years I have taught many tarot classes in the community, including beginning and intermediate tarot reading, and special topics such as using the tarot to inspire creative and personal writing.
I have a Master’s degree in Creative Writing, and I do spreads for the characters in the novel I’ve been working on. I also use the cards to generate ideas and even to help me work through writer’s block.
I have enjoyed reading the tarot at many parties and events and regret that my schedule no longer allows me to do that.
In addition to my tarot practice, I also have a hypnotherapy and counseling practice, and I teach high school mythology classes.
